Quarterly Board Meeting Strengthens Organizational Governance
SSNeP+ is fully committed to its vision of creating an environment in which PLHIV live longer, positively and productively. SSNeP+ subscribes to the three (3) ‘zeros’ of the Joint United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), namely; ‘Zero New Infections’, ‘Zero AIDS-related Deaths’ and ‘Zero Discrimination’, and ultimately works towards the attainment of these three (3) ‘zeros’ in South Sudan.
Under the Advanced HIV Epidemic Control Project (AHEC) through IntraHealth and USAID/PEPFAR, SSNeP+ continues to implement the strategies to reach the 1st, 2nd and 3rd 95's.
1st 95:
- Quarterly Board Meeting Strengthens Organizational Governance.
- Optimization of facility-led index testing services.
- Optimization of Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) services by scaling up index testing in PMTCT.
- Provide HIV self-testing (HIVST) services.
- Provide linkage to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) services.
2nd 95:
- Ensure sustained 100% referral and linkage to care and treatment for new positives by strengthening the existing referrals and linkages systems and tracking completed linkages to facility ART initiation.
- Treatment continuity for clients already on ART by conducting focused treatment literacy sessions to improve viral load suppression.
- Provide linkage to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) services by screening all clients tested HIV negative and provide referral and linkage to PrEP services for all eligible clients.
3rd 95:
- Undertake pre- and/or on appointment or follow up clinic appointment reminders by providing airtime for retention focal persons to routinely conduct appointment reminders through phone calls or SMS.
- Improve adherence, and EAC attendance at supported facilities by conducting and tracking EAC sessions and ensure that on a timely basis, clients are reminded of EAC sessions.
- Improve demand and access to community VL services by enlist all VL eligible clients and develop an excel-based facility VL service tracker database.
- Strengthening PLHIV networks, associations and groups to deliver community support services to PLHIV and affected households effectively and efficiently.
- Conducting GBV awareness and referrals.
